Dear Readers,
Asalaam Alaikum, I am delighted to welcome you to the Kawempe Muslim Secondary School website (www.kawempemuslimss.ac.ug). I would like to thank Allah for this great milestone which has been achieved through His Mercy and the school Information department.

The website is going to go a long way in exposing to the country and the globe at large what is done at the school. It will be revealing the important dates of the activities at school and a reader will get a glimpse at the type of curricular offered at this great institution. One will also be able to see-through the other values and skills trained when they choose Kawempe Muslim Secondary School (KMSS).

From a humble beginning in 1984, Kawempe Muslim Secondary School has proved to be a major force in a diversity of fields namely: Academics, Sports and Discipline. In 2014, Kawempe Muslim Secondary School celebrated thirty years of existence which highlighted the academic and sports excellence achieved so far. KMSS is now a force to reckon with the consistent sparkling UNEB performances over the years as the Academics page highlights. We have now produced various professionals in the fields of medicine, engineering, law, education, business to mention.

This is all in line with the Vision of our founding fathers. Ourcore values of Fearing Allah, Academic excellence, Ethics and Integrity and Team work create a versatile individual with quality education and Islamic values ready to address the global challenges.To foster continued quality education, the school has a competentteaching staff. We have recorded aseries of achievements over time such as:-

a) Construction of the school class room block.
b) Construction of the boys’ dormitory.
c) Construction of the girls’ junior dormitory.
d) Tarmacking the school compound
e) Girls’ team – champions of E. Africa football 2012
f) Leveling and construction of the football pitch.
g) Construction of the science block that has a modern library, modern equipped computer lab, four giganticscience laboratories and eight classrooms.
h) Construction of the school perimeter wall to improveon security.
i) Securing of land (1 acre) for the construction of thegirls dormitory.
j) Improvement in transport system, school has 4 vehicles; a school bus, a 30 seater coaster, a water truck and apickup truck.
k) Securing eight (08) acres of land at Kkungu, Wakisodistrict on which trees have been planted.
l) General improvement in students’ and staff welfare.
m) Connection of wireless internet.
n) Joined the FUFA Women’s Elite league and won the trophy three years in a row (2015,2016,and 2017).
o) Introduction of Theological classes (Hidat).

However, challenges still exist and there is so much moreto be done.For example;

• Construction of new girls’ dormitory and dining hall.
• Construction of staff quarters

Appreciation
I am greatly indebted to; the founders of this great institution, the Board of Governors and the P.T.A for your continued spiritual and technical guidance as well as the good working relationship. Please keep it up! We are grateful to the elders of Juma – Zukuuli for their love and generosity and inspired vision of uplifting the Muslim community through education. To our dear parents; we treasure you!

To all active members of Old Students Association thanks for maintaining a strong attachment to your school. The website is another area of interaction. T he dedicated staff (teaching & non-teaching)and other stakeholders, continue lighting our path.
Finally, I also pray to Allah to bestow his Mercy on the last Prophet, Muhammad S.A.W through whom we learnt the knowledge of trust, love and honesty.
